About Dr. McDougall - Leadership, Strategic Planning, Board Development, & Evaluation
Dr. Betsy McDougall is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa from Belcourt, North Dakota. She received her doctorate in Education from the University of North Dakota in 1998. Since that time, she has dedicated her career to improving the lives of American Indians through education and advocacy.
Dr. McDougall has written millions of dollars in grants as well as provided oversight and administration. She provide program support in the area of strategic planning. board training, systems development, fiscal oversight, family and community partnership, educational development, culture and language development,team building, and understanding historical trauma.
Working with other specialist, technical assistance and training opportunities will help to develop sound systems management as well as effective solutions and successful outcomes.
Dr. McDougall understands tribal communities and tribal sovereignty. She integrates that cultural understanding into her services and relationships.
Training platforms include: face-to-face, phone, email, skype, oovoo, and online classes and training webinars.
Special Note: Migizi means Eagle in Ojibwe (Anishinaabe/Chippewa). I named my business after my mother Betty "Migizikwe" Laverdure. She was sharp, resilient, and wise. Great spirit guide to help us move forward to serve our people.
